RAS, Northern California’s premier provider of specialty healthcare services, prides itself on a long history in the community. Our pioneering spirit began In 1917 when RAS founder, Dr. Harold Zimmerman, introduced the first x-ray machine to the area. In the 95 years that have followed RAS has been responsible for bringing many new medical technologies to the greater Sacramento region including the first million-volt therapeutic x-ray machine west of the Mississippi, Digital Mammography, Computer Aided Detection (CAD), PET Imaging and Breast Brachytherapy. 

Today we offer comprehensive women's imaging such as 3D Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and DEXA. For disease management RAS offers the most advanced Radiation Oncology treatments such as SBRT and SAVI, plus Gynecologic Oncology Services, minimally invasive procedure through our Interventional Radiology, Urology and more.

Through its Interventional Radiology department and the RAS Northern California Vascular Iinstitute, RAS offers a complete compliment of vascular care services including endovascular treatment of stroke, peripheral arterial disease, uterine fibroids and varicose veins.
